• Sony is phasing out the 40 & 80GB models of the PS3, and they're letting the Motorstorm pack fade out along with the two units. Rumors of 120-160GB HDD upgrades and the Dual Shock 3 controller have me feeling pretty damn good about waiting to buy a PS3. I've also heard that Sony will drop a high-end version of the PS3 in a new ceramic white case, but the real question is "Will the PS3 remain backwards compatible?" It's not that I care if it's BC; surely someone will complain that Sony couldn't manage to keep it backwards compatible for the same price. In my honest opinion, you buy a new system to run the new system's games and accessories. Even with the upgrades in store the PS3's $500 price tag is set to remain the same in the future.
